Regardless for whom you vote, just be sure to vote on Tuesday November 4. Two years of campaigning ends in 7 days, make sure you had a voice.

For years, I have helped friends, family, and the occasional acquaintance with web sites — design, creation, forms, updates, overhauls, etc. I have built up a small portfolio of basic HTML and CSS based web sites. Stuff that works. Simple. Easy to use. etc.

I have also begun to collect a small group of people who call me regarding questions, problems, networking their Macintosh computers. And as more people are buying Macs, more people call me with questions since I am known in my circles as the “Mac Guy” because I have been using the Macintosh since high school — early 90s.

Therefore, I have decided to create the structure of a freelance business.

My only problem right now, is what name do I register with the state of Ohio. What do I call myself, and what I do.

I would like to use “alphabet” if possible. Pair it with “soup,” sure. But all the simple domain names are taken.

Then there is the matter of what I do. I am not a design studio. I am not a full-featured IT department. So what do I call my new-fond business? What umbrella do I put it under? What identity do I stake claim to in my little corner of the internet?

More thinking, more searching, more time, and I hope to have a solution.
