For those few people that might be following the progress of the never-ending master bathroom project. The vanity did arrive, well, almost all of it. The doors are not yet stained, but the cabinet is, and I think it look beautiful…

Bathroom Vanity Workday #3

0513071250b.jpg0513071250a.jpgThe frame has finally come together. Next is the shelves, and the doors. Then it is time to stain. It is so exciting seeing this vanity come together. My uncle is a true genius when it comes to working with wood.

Bathroom Workdays 12 & 13

We keep getting closer and closer to the end.

After last weekend, and last night we are moving along.

The plumbing is all done. drains are in. Hot and cold water lines are in. Shower plumbing is in place. No more plumbing work needed.

I got the new baseboard heater hooked up. Glad I got the Home Depot book on Electrical work because the instructions that came with the heater were 100% useless.

picture-2.jpgDrywall has started to go up and cement board has started to go up around the shower. I have included this diagram of how we want the new tile shower to look. Should be cool (I hope).

Tonight we should finish the drywall and start thinking about tiling the floor… to be continued

Bathroom Workday #11

In the next phase of the bathroom, some things are starting to take shape. The shower base was installed. We used a thinset mortar to help level it out. Then the new shower wall went up (this is where the shower head, control, and plumbing comes up). And the closet was framed out. Now we can really see the layout come together. Pictures to come, sorry.
